Yoga and its benefits cannot be summarized in mere words; it is something you must experience for yourself. There are two main sources of guidance: the outer teacher and the inner teacher (yourself). Some of the benefits of a regular yoga and meditation practice include relief of anxiety, depression, back or neck pain, arthritis, insomnia and much, much more. Although there are many types and styles, the objective is not to contort into an impressive shape, but rather gain the skills and knowledge on the mat to live a life of compassion and well-being off of the mat.

Join us Tuesday & Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings for a group practice . Our classes are always kept small with room for up to 10 participants. Every class is different. Join us for a class blending Vinyasa and Yin Yoga, a relaxing Yin Yoga class or an energizing Vinyasa Flow Yoga class. All of our classes are suitable for participants of all levels!

During this class you can expect an energizing alignment based class. Hatha Yoga is bringing awareness to what is already there. Actively participate in your breath, while using bio-mechanics for ideal alignment in all postures. You can gain strength, reduce tension and increase energy. By combining breath and movement, yoga increases physical, mental and spiritual well-being. All of our classes are suitable for participants of all levels.

This series is designed with the intention of reducing ongoing pain in the body. Yoga can help calm the nervous system, bring awareness into the body, build strength, and reduce tension. Have you already explored your persistent pain with your Doctor or Physiotherapist and have been advised conscious movement would be beneficial? This class will build your skills so you may reduce your pain. By using breath with fluid movement you can invite balance into your life.


 

Youth Yoga - Rise Victoria

Yoga is not just for adults! Rise Adventure & Wellness Solutions offers youth classes for ages 12-18. This class allows participants to make new connections, build self-confidence, decrease anxiety, increase flexibility and increase balance. This class will include basic introduction to yoga (no experience required) and its fundamental elements in a fun, safe and social setting.

Family Yoga

Contact us with a time that works for you. We are flexible with class times! Yoga means “union” or “to yoke”. Bring the family together to find balance both on and off the mat. Have fun flowing through postures, partner work and practicing different breathing techniques. Actively participate in your breath while using ideal alignment in yoga postures. Together gain strength and flexibility, while reducing tension.

Contact us with a time that works for you. We are flexible with class times! Rise Adventure & Wellness Solutions offers Yoga for Moms & Babies. Don’t worry Dad’s, this class isn’t just for Mom’s! Dad’s are invited to join with their little ones as well! Join us for a 45 minute Vinyasa flow Yoga class composed of poses that are designed to ensure your little one is just as involved as you are.


 

Power Yoga - Rise Victoria

Power Yoga

Power yoga is a class where students are invited to safely challenge their mind and body in an encouraging, playful environment. Here, you can test, bend, and expand your limits and let your body show you what it’s REALLY capable of. We explore and condition balance, strength, and flexibility through pranayama and vinyasa with some unorthodox poses in the mix. We laugh, we sweat, we sculpt.

Rise Adventure & Wellness Solutions offer Yoga to a wide range of sports teams throughout the Victoria area. Yoga is a great way to increase flexibility, improve balance and increase overall body strength. We can run classes at our studio for your athletes or we can arrange to have an instructor come to  you! Each class will be specifically designed to meet the needs of your sports team whether you are a climbing team, volleyball team or an equestrian team!
